Luther Automotive Group

Community Involvement

Our organization takes its responsibilities as a community citizen seriously. The Luther Automotive Group is not just a company that operates in communities but is a citizen of many of its communities as well.

With a strong desire to be a contributing community member, our stores and our employees exhibit caring to many groups in need. Some employees are actively engaged in their communities, as volunteer firefighters, city council members, softball team coaches, and board members, offering their time and expertise. Luther employees and stores have helped others in their local communities, across the country and across the globe.

The Luther Automotive Group newsletter provides examples of our employees and dealerships commitment and contributions to the various communities in which we live and work. A few of the many organizations and fund raisers in which they have participated in the past include:
  • Toys for Tots: many Luther dealerships receive toy and cash donations from employees and customers annually, filling the truckbeds of many new trucks
  • Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk: employees from several stores have participated by walking 60 miles, raising thousands of dollars for cancer research
  • Habitat for Humanity: employees have personally volunteered, in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, and to Mississippi, Texas, and Florida to name a few
  • Million Thanks: a campaign celebrating our military by hosting an event with a luncheon
  • Organ donation: an employee donated a vital organ to a family member, and provided information on her experience, encouraging others to consider donation
  • Reading is Fundamental: five dealerships raised $15K for the school district in their community to purchase books for the reading program
  • Mission trips: employees have donated their time and resources, from the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador to build shelter for families, to Jamaica providing needed medical supplies in impoverished areas
